DESCRIPTION:You are invited to the Touch a Truck Block Party at First Methodist Church Wetumpka! This is a great chance to explore your child’s favorite big trucks and vehicles including an ambulance, firetruck, police car, wrecker, vintage vehicles, motorcycles, and more! There will be lots of trucks and vehicles to touch and look at, a train ride, bounce house, food for the family*, giveaways, and fun! The cost to attend is just a school supply donation to benefit our local Elmore County schools.\nWhen:\nAugust 8, 2026, date from 11 am – 2 pm\nWhere:\nFirst Methodist Church Wetumpka\n306 W. Tuskeena St. Wetumpka, AL 36092\nCost:\nTo enter the event, bring any school supply donation. We are collecting supplies for Elmore County schools. View the suggested school supply donation list.\nParking:\nParking will be limited on the roads surrounding the church (W. Tuskeena Street, Alabama Street, and N. Broad Street). Additional parking is available behind the L&N Depot (on W. Coosa Street), in the First Baptist Church parking lot (205 W Bridge St, Wetumpka, AL 36092), and in the First Presbyterian Church parking lot (100 W Bridge St, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A crossing guard will be available for those parking at First Baptist Church.\n*Note that food is on a first come first served bases. Please visit the registration table in order to secure an orange and blue ticket for food and Frios pops while they are available.\nVehicles & Vendors:\nThere is no cost or fee to be part of this event. It is a great chance to get free exposure and publicity for your business! If you are interested in bringing a vehicle to this event (or if you are a non-vehicle vendor), register here. Vendor space is FREE. Vendors who offer free samples and/or give away flyers and business cards with more information about their business are allowed, however, we do not allow vendor sales.
